Westland Attractions
High on your list of must-see attractions should be Punakaiki, in particular the Pancake Rocks and Blowholes located a short walk from the road. The area also features many stunning coastal and inland walks - well worth staying an extra day or two for. Of the many adventure activities on offer, we recommend Norwest Adventures, Eco Rafting and On Yer Bike. To gain an historic insight into the area, consider joining a Kea Heritage Tour. Shantytown, near Greymouth offers an interesting look into the region's goldrush pioneering history. We also recommend visiting the Jade factory in Hokitika where you can talk to the people who hand-carve a variety of Jade products.
