Hanmer Springs Attractions

Hanmer Springs offers many exciting and memorable tourist attractions. The Thermal Pools and Spa located in the centre of the village, should be first on your 'things to do' list. The pools range in temperature from 28-42° Celsius - ideal for soothing aches and pains or for just taking it easy. Hanmer is set amongst a beautiful backdrop of mountains and valleys and is a wonderful place for outdoor activities. Nearby Hanmer forest offers many enjoyable scenic bush walks ranging from half an hour to all day, all starting close to the Village Centre. Some of the walks wind their way through stands of trees, in one of New Zealand oldest exotic forests. One walk which is highly recommended is to the top of nearby Conical Hill.
